Description

Finally finished, hope I get in!

Name: Elliot Wood
DOB: January 21st
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Height: 5’8”
Nationality: Canadian

Team: Night Claw
Rank: Normal

Personality:
Elliot is your pretty typical teenage boy, though he’s a little more on the quiet side compared to many of his peers. He’s polite enough in conversation, taking mannerisms fairly seriously, but despite his generally friendly demeanor, it takes a while for him to actually consider someone a friend and not simply another acquaintance. However, he values his friends above almost all else, and once someone’s made it into his circle, he’s much more open towards them and is generally protective of them, occasionally to the point where he could be considered at least mildly possessive. More than anything, he enjoys being someone that people can depend on, but only if he feels like he can depend on those people in return.

Tying into this, he tends to also put friends and family before himself, sometimes to the point of putting himself in danger if it means he can keep them from harm. This is a point of contention between him and his partner, since his general recklessness when it comes to friends makes outings for the Union… interesting, to say the least. Nevertheless, the two of them get along rather well and have strong synergy as a team, despite being only a step or two away from being complete rookies.

Background:
Elliot is the youngest child of a pretty big family with farming roots in rural Saskatchewan. Growing up he was often in the shadow of his older siblings, and generally was expected to take after most of the older members of his family in terms of academics and other pursuits; by this, it was assumed that he’d develop both an aptitude and interest in farming, though neither of these turned out to be true – his real passion turned out to be computers, and his dream job is to be a software engineer for some big company. His family, while admittedly disappointed at first, is still understanding and even supportive of these goals, if for no other reason than it keeps him away from the farm, where he manages to get in the way more often than not when working on all but the most basic of chores. His background has still left him with a strong work ethic though, as well as a sentimental streak and a tendency to value practicality over luxury or aesthetics. This is most apparent in his style of dress, which tends to be rather casual despite the occasion, unless it’s absolutely required that he follow a specific dress code.

Elliot has never been the most popular kid in school, though this isn’t strictly because he’s disliked. He’s on reasonably good terms with most of his classmates, and most barriers between him and having a wide circle of friends are ones that he’s erected on his own, mainly due to a fear of having too many close friends – in his head, the more people he considers himself close to, the less close he actually is to any of them, which he feels detracts from friendship in the first place. He has a close circle of friends that he’s had from a fairly young age, and not much past that. He does, however, head up the school’s computer club, which is something he had to lobby relentlessly for to establish in the first place, since rural schools didn’t have the most impressive technology budgets. He didn’t know it at the time, but this was something of an accidental turning point in his life, since the computer club is how he first encountered the Digital World.

His first trip to the Digital World was unintentional, but rather eventful. He’d been spending the afternoon in the lab at school working on a report when several strange message prompts appeared on his screen, talking about how someone needed a “partner” and how he’d been “chosen”. Confused as to how this could be happening on what he had thought to be a rather secure system, he played along with it, assuming that the system administrator was just messing with him, and that the two of them would have a laugh about it later on. However, he realized the truth of the matter after he found himself in a completely different world than the one he was used to.

There to greet him was an angel, which caused him to panic, assuming that he’d died of some form of electrical surge and was now in heaven. This was quickly clarified by the creature, who called himself Angemon and explained that they were currently in the Digital World. Angemon offered to be his partner after a brief explanation of what that entailed, and understanding the oppourtunity he’d been given,  hesitantly accepted, which caused Angemon to revert to a small quadrupedal being that referred to itself as Tokomon, though with their new relationship, the two of them agreed that the name Dom would be acceptable, short for Dominion, referring to their meeting’s circumstances and where Elliot first assumed he was. For the first while, his visits were scarce, mostly based around when he could find the time at school, but eventually he managed to rig his family’s computer to let him travel to the Digital World. That was about two months ago, and though his parents know about what they consider his latest hobby, they weren’t prepared for him to suddenly not appear one day. They assume he’s alright though, following the doctrine of “no news is good news”, and patiently wait his eventual return. For his part, Elliot is deeply unsettled with his present circumstances, though he’s confident that with Tokomon at his side, he can manage just fine.

Tokomon > Patamon > Angemon > MagnaAngemon > Dominimon
   Nickname: Dom
   Type: Speed
   Species: Holy
   Personality: Energetic

About: Put simply, Dom is a bit of a jackass. When it comes right down to it, he has the best interests of his tamer and their mutual friends at heart, but he’s got an especially weird way of showing it, generally coming off as especially pushy. The two form a good team, but they argue from time to time when they’re not on official business. Despite Digimon generally being considered genderless, he identifies as male, though he doesn’t usually make too much of a fuss if others don’t do the same.
